Jordanian free zones corporation

The concept of free zone is considered as one of the government’s tools in development of specific geographical areas where special regulations are applied such as exemptions and facilitation of trade to encourage trade exchange and transport.

A small free zone area was established in Aqaba port 1973, to develop international trade, and in view of the success of this idea, the government established the free zone corporation with the financial and administrative independence by the temporary law no (39) year 1976.

The board of Free Zone Corporation sets the general policies and plans and programs to establish and develop the free zones and places them for the service of the national economy
